I'm celebrating my birthday today by helping support a school very near and dear to me, the Stax Music Academy, at the original site of Stax Records in Memphis. I've teamed up with the Soundwaves Art Foundation and signed these original artworks and limited-edition prints based on "Green Onions" and proceeds from the sale benefit the academy, which is the only music school in the world that focuses on the legacy of Booker T. & the MGs, Otis Redding, the Staple Singers, and so many others.
